Is it fall yet? August & September...

Luke, here!  Sorry I missed my August deadline.  Places to go, people to see...you know?  Now you get to see the August and September events all together!  Don't judge, I'm only two.

Daddy and I race when he gets home.  My four wheeler is LIGHTNING fast!

Why didn't I know about this sooner?!
Time to paint!  Mama says I look so much older in this picture.  My answer?  Hellooooo ladies...
SWIMMING!!! SWIMMING!!!
Tractor rides with Daddy at sunset.  What could be better?!

The Perot Museum had TONS of cool stuff.  Did you know paper blocks could fly?!
Pumpkins at the Arboretum!  Hudson had a heavy one!

We love our Yaya!

The pumpkins are so distracting!

A bridge over swan pumpkins! Have you ever seen a swan pumpkin?
Here you go!

I make my own rules.  Why would you run through a maze when you could see the world from the top?

Want some pumpkins?  They're 'babies'.
Daddy bought me a soccer ball and is teaching me how to play!

Where's my ball?
I haven't quite mastered the rules of soccer :)
"Sugars, Mama!"

Papa Boat came across the world to visit!  I love you, Papa!

"CHICKENS! CHICKENS! CHICKENS!"

I'm going to hug you and squeeze you and kiss you and hold you and love you and snuggle with you forever and ever.

See?  Hugs.

Other people like chickens, too!

Evie's favorite chicken!

Philip was a little concerned but he loosened up!

Feeding her favorite chicken :)

Ruby has one too!

Hey! Why am I in a cage?  Oh yeah...I crawled in there.

Next stop - Halloween and Daddy's birthday!  To be continued...

Family Beach Trip 2013

Hey everybody! Luke, here.  I know it's the middle of August and my post isn't due yet...but I couldn't wait!!  We had a BLAST at the beach!  The weather was wonderful, at least in my eyes.  The rain came and went.  But, we live in TEXAS.  It NEVER rains in August.  So I was happy for some cooling showers each day...they were so great!

Mama said I hit a few milestones on this trip.
1 - sleeping on an airbed (no crib) for a week.  I didn't get out of my bed, even when I was awake!  I made Daddy and Mama SO proud. :)
2 - Swimming all by myself in the ocean.  Never fear - I had my lifejacket.  But this was my first time to be in the ocean without holding onto someone else.  Do you know what that feels like to a toddler?? Probably not, so let me just tell you....FREEDOM!!!!  I could float on the water, let the waves take me to the beach and then start the process again.  SOOOO FUN!  Mama said she's never seen me smile and laugh so much.  They didn't want to leave!
3 - Burying Daddy.  You heard me - I BURIED him alive!! Mwahaha.  Wouldn't you know that stinker found his way out?  I didn't bury his face...maybe that's the trick.  :)

Making sandcastles with Yaya

...and my cousins :)

Daddy brought out the kite!

Isn't Ruby beautiful??
"Look at me!!! I swimmin!!"

YAY beach time!  See Mama's baby bump? She doesn't like for you to point it out...but I'm a kid so I get a pass!
CRABS!!  We had crab wars on the beach that morning.  Then lots of snorkeling and boogie boarding.
See all the boogie boarding FUN?! I LOVE the beach!
Max and Hudson on the sandbar.  Poor Hudson broke his arm on the first day...but he didn't let that stop him from getting in the ocean!

While snorkeling at a state park, these raccoons pilfered through Daddy and Mama's chairs and bags.  Rude!  They said there were ten people standing around videoing these sneaks, but no one bothered to help.  Hmph.

Ok, ok, the little one's kind of cute.

AHHHH!!!  Awigator!

Fresh water is so delicious!

Here's the family!  What a GREAT trip!

Papa and Sug - such sweet souls :)

Heyyyyy look at that!  We're all smiling!

By this point, I wanted to run in the sand.  Luckily I didn't completely ruin the picture! :)
Yaya and her grandbabies
I love you, Mama!
Miss Mary came to see me!

Papa, Sug and the kiddos.  Good times!
We were tired of taking pictures so William took me for a horseback ride!

August 05, 2013

hot, HOT July!

Is there a better description for July in Texas?  Nah.

Luke, here!  It's time for my monthly update.  Boy, is it an update.  All SORTS of stuff happened in July!  Who would've thought anything fun could happen when a toddler is cooped up inside for a month?  But it did...hallelujah!

We spent a few days in the pool!  What a relief!  Daddy surprised me with this COOL lifejacket so I can swim now!
Did you know the pool can be very tiring?  *Yawn* Time to relax.
That's enough relaxing.  Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

This day was nice and cloudy enough to enjoy being outside!  Time to go 'sishing'!

I like to take baths in Mama's bathtub.  It's so much more fun than my own!

July was 'bed training' month.  Mama caught me sneaking out of my room after I climbed out of my crib.  Ask her about it.  I can't help but laugh when I see her face. I really enjoyed turning on the lights when I should've been napping.  I also unplugged my fan and video monitors each day.  FUN!
Here's another great naptime portrait.  I love sleeping with my changing pad on my face.

Bass Pro fish tanks...my favorite!

Another nice day to be outside and water Mama's plants.

I'm coming Daddy!  Here's my lawn mower in case we need it!

Yaya took me 'sishin' one Sunday evening.

Daddy got LASIK!  Now he can see 20/15...whatever that means.  But he doesn't wear glasses anymore.  Weird!

Mama turned my playroom into a homeschool room.  Nuts!  I think that means I have to be a productive member of society now.  Where's the opt-out button?

Loving on my kitty.  There's a first time for everything!

Daddy helped me grill some pork chops for Mama!

Daddy, let me show you how to do this.  Turn it THIS way.

Time for a TRACTOR RIDE!

Hi.  The name's Luke. But you can call me hippie surfer. Don't worry, Mama cut my hair just the other day. :)

I LOVE pool time!  Especially with my new airplane.

Howdy!

Little Hudson and me at the Splash Pad
Oh yeah!  I almost forgot about this one!  Mama and Daddy made the big announcement this month!  We find out whether I get a baby brother or sister on August 23rd.  I'm bound and determined to have a baby sister, though!

Hope you stayed cool this month!
I can't wait to update you at the end of August.  Talk to you soon!
